Welcome Back, GEM! 🎤✨

You’ve already stepped into the spotlight and now it’s time to shine even brighter.

If you were part of GEM’s first year, you know firsthand what this program is all about. You showed up, you
created, you represented, and you made us so proud. Now we’re inviting you to apply for the 2026–2027 year and
potentially take everything you’ve built to the next level.

As a returning GEM, there’s opportunity to dive deeper into storytelling, digital media, public relations, branding,
and so much more, all while continuing to attend high-profile events, appear in Girl Scout marketing campaigns,
write for our platform, and represent GSGLA and GSUSA as a true voice of our council. You’ll bring the experience of year one with you, and this year, you’ll have even more opportunities to lead, mentor, and grow.

We want to be upfront about one new addition to the GEM program this year. Beginning with this 2026–2027 term, there will be a $100 program fee to help cover the cost of our quarterly meetings and programming. This fee is only applicable to girls who are selected and choose to accept their spot — so applying is completely free and there
is no cost unless you are selected and confirm your participation.

More details on payment will be shared upon acceptance, and the fee will be due before the first meeting.
Financial assistance is available for those who need it, and we encourage every Girl Scout who is interested to
apply regardless of financial circumstances.

Application Launch – July 1, 2026
Application Deadline – July 31, 2026
Application Status Notification – by August 7, 2026
Optional Virtual Interviews – Mid-to-late August 2026. More details for specific timing to come with application status notifications if applicable.
GEM acceptance notifications – by September 15, 2026
